| Today’s newsletter involves the Venus Retrograde station on December 19th in the sign of Capricorn. This station (standing still) happens at 26 degrees of Capricorn and is Conjunct Pluto at 27 degrees. The retrograde ends January 29th and will finally leave Capricorn on March 6th. Venus will make a series of three conjunctions with Pluto, one that already happened last week on December 11th. The next two happen on December 25th and the final one is further down the line on March 3rd. Also, Venus will be conjunct (Cazimi- think rebirth) Sun Jan 9th. So, as you can see, there will be a review process and chapters to the narrative. This begins a retrograde story the lasts some 40 days and 40 nights.. sound familiar? In my opinion this transit has to do with the keywords, ambition and control. Also, because Pluto’s involved, power dynamics/struggles. These all funnel into how one sees and values themselves. At times it’s reflected outside of a person in different types of relationships…which in the end mirrors back to you. Capricorn being the taskmaster loves to work and attain. Venus being in Capricorn there’s the notion of goals that are attainable or fulfilled. Boundaries, conservative functioning and decision making is the theme for Venus in Capricorn. But how does one process these matters when under review? (retrograde=review). First, look to the Capricorn part of your chart. If you don’t know this, you can contact me. It is there where the revaluation will take place. It’s a slow step by step process just the way Capricorn likes it. For example, let’s just say you were to come up with a Goal and you were to plan out the steps to achieve it. First and foremost, one has to have a definitive vision. These next 40 days and 40 nights this vision process goes under reevaluation. It could be the way one has approached things in the past when it comes to the achievement of goals does not work anymore. Now for the real talk: On the deepest level when it comes to relationships there is a FALSE POWER involved here and the Venus Retrograde along with Pluto wants unearth and reveal these toxic dynamics. One does not see or recognize a stagnation of false power in their lives. Habits and functions that have worked in the past but now do not when it’s come to relationships and how they relate to themselves. This “Power” appears to be strong, but really is based in wounding and pain. It is like one is in purgatory, not knowing where they are, running on this false power stuck in a place of illusion, which in the end is the ultimate resistance to confront ones pain and letting a metaphorical death happen. You might see it reflected in relationship dynamics and it can reveal the poisonous patterns that one holds. It’s easy to fault the “other” and find ways to deflect. But there is a space and opening for deep relating here with safe Capricorn boundaries. You can build and create a new foundation with the “other” id they are on the same page. So be patient with the process. Also, we can thank ourselves for finding a way to survive in the past with our fear and wounding THEN be real about how this “False Power” is not useful anymore. It’s about love. The way you see and love yourself, the unearthing of deep wounds and insecurities that await being healed. This is a long process but one that can germinate a new vision during this retrograde. Use your ambition to go within and let yourself be transformed. Remember to have compassion for yourself AND for those around you who see and hold space with YOU. Honesty, Empathy and Forgiveness. This is what being human is all about.
